CALLISTO conclusive brochure is now available on line. This publication is intended to present main elements, findings and recommendations of this challenging European project concerning healthy and safe human-animal relationships.
The Final Report of the project is available here. The document includes general information about the project, the description of the activities and the main findings. In particular, the Final Report summarizes outcomes of the first cycle of activities (2012), the second cycle (2013) and the third project cycle (2014) outlining recommendations emerged from the research conducted by the CALLISTO think tank.
The third year of CALLISTO research activities (2014) was a very intensive one. During this conclusive year, Expert Advisory Groups (EAGs) produced a series of recommendations related to companion animal zoonoses: following the analysis of the current situation as concerns zoonoses transmitted by companion animals and the risk assessments developed during the first two years, a series of conclusive recommendations were agreed to contribute in promoting a healthy and balanced human/animal relationship.
Below the “Strategy Report of the Third Cycle” containing details on CALLISTO recommendations.
CALLISTO Strategy Report of the 2nd Cycle is available here.
The document contains relevant outcomes of the second project cycle, aimed at developing a risk assessment of selected paradigmatic pathogens associated with companion animals, as potential source of infectious disease in human and food animals. Expert Advisory Groups (EAGs) and other CALLISTO members interacted to produce this second report, main output of the Second CALLISTO Conference held in Brussels in October 2013.
